Children's ministry

From babies to fifth graders, we partner with parents and guardians to provide a biblical foundation leading to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Children learn, play, and grow in a safe, secure environment alongside experienced and responsible volunteers and teachers. Our goal is to give your family an excellent experience in worship, Bible study, and service.

Safety

At Northside Baptist Church the safety of children is a priority.

Check-in
When you arrive, you will be greeted at the Preschool Check-in Counter and/or the Clubhouse Check-in Station where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form, along with contact information we will need information about any allergies your child may have, or any special information we might need to know. In preschool, you will receive two stickers with a matching code to be presented when you pick up your child. In our clubhouse area, your child will only be allowed to leave with an approved party.
Security
All volunteers in our children’s ministry must pass background checks. In both preschool and clubhouse areas, doors into the area will be locked and a member of our security team will be present. We have a campus safety team in various areas to ensure your child’s safety.
Cameras are positioned in each of our classrooms to ensure protection for each child and adult in our ministry.

Elementary Ages (1st-5th)

Our elementary-age children meet upstairs in the Clubhouse. It is uniquely designed for kids to learn truths about Jesus on their level. Every Sunday & Wednesday, children experience fun and age-appropriate activities that help them know Jesus and grow in their faith. There are also additional opportunities for children that include Mission Sundays, summer camp, as well as events and programs designed especially with your children in mind.

Vacation Bible School -  June 1st - 5th
Centrikid - July 6th - 10th 

Preschool (Pre-K - Kindergarten)

From birth to kindergarten, children begin laying the foundation of faith in small groups their own age. They also begin forming relationships with other children and leaders. These leaders help them build their faith through interactive stories, crafts, and songs that teach Biblical truths.

"You have been taught the holy scripture from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus."

Nursery (Babies, Creepers, Toddlers)

Your child will experience personal care from our volunteers. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys, cribs, and changing stations.

We know little ones have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the assigned room, we want you to give us any information about the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs of your child.  Our volunteers take time to love and pray for your child and your family while in their care.

For those who want to keep their babies with them, we have a private area for nursing mothers in our preschool hall. There are also changing tables in every bathroom in the church.

Champion's Clubhouse for Special Needs

Our church loves all children, and we place a high priority on making children with special needs feel comfortable, safe, and loved during their time at Northside. We understand each child is unique and requires different levels of care.
